CliniMed Aura Pouches and STOMAGUARD Compatibility
CliniMed is the UK group behind the Aura family of pouches and the parent of Welland. STOMAGUARD fits the Aura range, including the Aura Flushable as a stock size.
CliniMed is a UK-based group that has supplied stoma, continence and wound care products for decades. Welland Medical sits within the same group, so CliniMed customers will often see Aura and Aurum pouches on the same prescription. The Aura range is designed and supplied by CliniMed in Buckinghamshire.
Popular CliniMed ranges
Aura
Aura is the core range, with one-piece closed and drainable pouches and a hydrocolloid flange. It is a familiar everyday option for colostomy and ileostomy users and is often prescribed where a straightforward, reliable pouch is needed.
Aura Plus
Aura Plus uses a plus-shaped flange with medical-grade Manuka honey, available in flat or soft convex. The plus shape is intended to flex with body movement and provide reliable adhesion, with the convex variant aimed at flush, recessed or retracted stomas.
Aura Profile
Aura Profile has a flexible flange that moulds around the contours of a parastomal hernia or uneven peristomal skin. The flange can be inverted to suit a range of body profiles and includes Manuka honey in the hydrocolloid.
Aura Flushable
Aura Flushable is one of CliniMed's most popular options. The inner pouch and flange are designed to be separated from the outer cover and flushed down the toilet, while the outer cover goes in a normal bin. It is a practical choice for colostomy users at home or travelling.
Does STOMAGUARD fit CliniMed pouches?
Yes. STOMAGUARD clips over your existing Aura appliance. We just need the flange diameter and pouch length to size the shield correctly. The Aura Flushable can be a slightly different shape to standard pouches, which is one reason we already stock it as a sized model.
