Coloplast is one of the most prescribed ostomy brands in the UK. STOMAGUARD fits the full range, with several SenSura Mio sizes ready to dispatch.
Coloplast is a Danish company that has had its UK headquarters in Peterborough since 1978, with several hundred staff based locally. Their ostomy range is widely available on NHS prescription and is one of the first brands most stoma nurses will mention when fitting a new appliance. The pouches are well known for their soft fabric outer and the body-conforming SenSura Mio adhesive.
Popular Coloplast ranges
SenSura Mio
The flagship range. SenSura Mio uses an elastic adhesive that follows the body's natural movement, with a neutral grey textile cover that sits discreetly under clothing. It is available in one-piece and two-piece formats, in flat, convex light, convex deep, and Maxi sizes, covering colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy.
Assura
Assura is Coloplast's long-standing classic range and is still widely prescribed for ostomates who prefer the original click-coupling two-piece system. It has a clinical track record measured in decades and is a familiar option for stoma nurses across the NHS.
Alterna
Alterna is the everyday, value-focused range, often used post-operatively or as a reliable day-to-day option. It covers one-piece closed, drainable and urostomy pouches, with flat and convex baseplates.
Does STOMAGUARD fit Coloplast pouches?
Yes. STOMAGUARD is designed to clip over your existing appliance, so any Coloplast pouch can be fitted as long as we have the correct flange diameter and pouch length. For the most common SenSura Mio sizes we already produce stock shields, so most Coloplast wearers can order straight from the dropdown.
