Eakin Healthcare is a family-owned medical device manufacturer based in Comber, County Down, Northern Ireland. Founded in 1973 by pharmacist Tom Eakin, the company started by solving leak problems for individual patients and grew into the global maker of the eakin Cohesive seal. Eakin is also the parent of Pelican Healthcare, so customers will see ModaVi pouches alongside the Eakin range.

eakin dot
The eakin dot range covers one and two-piece pouches with soft, flexible baseplates and fluted flanges that hug the abdomen. The skinsmart baseplates are designed for long wear time, and the two-piece coupling uses a pop-up ring with an audible click for confidence in placement. The dot range covers colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy.
eakin Cohesive seals
The eakin Cohesive seal is one of the best known accessories in stoma care, sold worldwide and recommended by stoma nurses for difficult skin profiles. Cohesive seals can be stretched, cut, joined and moulded around the stoma to fill in dips and creases and form an absorptive barrier under any pouch.
eakin freeseal
Freeseal is the thinner option in the Eakin seal family, designed for ostomates who want a lower profile. Freeseal air starts at 1.8mm depth, making it one of the thinnest seals on the market. It works alongside any pouch in the same way as the original Cohesive.
Does STOMAGUARD fit Eakin pouches?
Yes. STOMAGUARD sits over your existing eakin dot pouch and clips into place. It also works alongside Eakin Cohesive or freeseal seals, since the shield is added on top of your appliance. We just need the flange diameter and pouch length to size correctly.
Eakin models we stock as standard sizes
Eakin isn't currently on the order-page dropdown as a stock size, so for now we ask Eakin wearers to send us a measurement first. The simplest way is to drop us a WhatsApp with the flange diameter and pouch length, plus a quick photo if you have one. We'll confirm fit and post the shield out.
